The primary work of the Development Committee is fundraising and outreach to individuals, corporations, schools, and community organizations. And, always striving to support our mission: To provide low-income Massachusetts women the academic opportunity to improve their quality of life, become more self-reliant and become more employable.

Silent Auction

As part of our fundraising efforts, LCWF holds an annual Silent Auction in December of each year. As you may remember, Lost Coin Women’s Fund decided to cancel our Silent Auction that was scheduled for 2020 as well as 2021 based on CDC guidelines.

However, we are excited to announce that we have scheduled our Annual Silent Auction (this will be our 6th) for Sunday, December 4, 2022 at the Neighborhood Club in Quincy. Put a reminder in your calendar and plan on attending. It’s a lot of fun! We are collecting all different kinds of items, with a wide range of value. At past silent auctions, guests enjoyed light refreshments during the auction as they leisurely looked over the numerous silent auction items and placed their bids. It was a nice way to spend a couple hours on a Sunday afternoon!

If you would like to donate an item to our auction, please reach out via email. In the past, our items included gift cards to local restaurants, and local businesses, tickets to sporting events, hand crafts, beautiful paintings and special getaways among others.

We are excited (as we’re sure you are too!) to be getting back to normal and are so looking forward to this years’ Silent Auction. We hope to see you there!
